Hello,

thanks for your quick reply! I have solved the problem right now.

as I was disperately trying to let it work,i made the last trial, that was succesfull.

it seems that i have solved the problem using an english version of dreamweaver 8 ,instead of an italian one.

As your test was succesfull,it had to exist a small problem. It seems that I have found it.

thanks!
stefano

Hi Stefano,

Your issue was very clearly the Testing Server URL prefix which was not set - the Itialian version of Dreamweaver should have worked just as well. In the screenshot it shows that you had your Mahintosh HD as part of the URL while you needed to use http://127.0.0.1/~omf/siteName/

I'm glad that you have it working.

I can't see what anybody is talking about here. There is no attachment to the original message. The test tool is mentioned here but it does not seem to exist.

Hey, i am having some real difficulties with dolphin cart. I am not very familiary with FMP at all, but at my new job thats all we are using. Anyhow, i know php can run on my local server and on my website. Your tool though has indicated that my PHP capability has failed. So really i have two concerns that and getting dolphin cart to run. ive read through the online manual but im still not getting how to get dolphin cart running via browser. sry if this is in wrong thread.

Thanks-A-Million

Hi Marcus,

It sounds like either you accidentally saved the file on your server as a .htm or .html - or if it is indeed .php then it is not being processed by your server. If you rename it to a .php and it still shows as PHP capability failed then it means your server is not processing PHP (since it is not installed) and you will have to install a PHP package for your operating system.

So if the serverTest.php file shows now errors, and any page that I try to view that is supposed to have search results on it is blank (no source code even), what does that likely point to as being the culprit for my problems?

Hi Aaron,

It implies that the problem is in your specific pages. I am going to guess that you have FTP setup for your testing server and have not uploaded the following 3 items:
- your FileMaker folder in the site
- the FileMaker.php file
- the Connections folder

Make sure those are on your testing server and it should all work. Otherwise do you have the redirect on error settings set in your queries?

Hi Andrew,

When you purchase FMStudio you get an email with download links and passwords to open up the zip files - once unzipped the MXP's will be there.

No - your problem is that you did not complete the "Edit Deployment" script step in the FileMaker Admin console. Therefore the server test cannot use the XML method to get the server version, and for the same reason the connection fails.

Let us know if that does the trick,

IWP being grayed out is because your license is for FileMaker Server 9 not 9 Advanced, however for PHP purposes you just need XML and PHP enabled. Once the wizard completes successfully the serverTest.php file should be able to determine the server version and do the rest of the tests - until then keep working on the deployment and don't even try to use FMStudio until serverTest.php passes (since serverTest.php is much more effective in diagnosing the issue).
