Okay, I've read many different posts concerning related problems to this issue, however, I havent found a clear fix for it.  When trying to make a connection to my database using FXphp and FMStudio, I get the following error.

1) there is not testing server running on the server machine
2)the testing server specified for this site does not map to the http:/macintoshHD/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php?

I am running FMSA 9, on Windows XP Pro, IIS.

IWP is working and, API for php was able to make a connection without any error.  I did run the Server Trouble shooter php file, here were the results.

I'm an amateur here, but the error may be in how you specified your testing server. If you are like me, you are editing your site on a local machine and DW is updating your server machine using the LAN/Network option. In that case the site manager automatically sets the testing server to a directory path, like in you post, rather than the web address for your site. Set the testing server to the url of your site, plus the directory where the site files live - http://yourdomain.com/thefolder

This might solve you problem.
