About the time I installed FM8, I noticed that I was having trouble with my mail and internet programs. I would not be able to access the web or the server that serves our mail. When I log off the computer, I get messages that programs need to end like d8c, 978, 910 and 968. At the very end it says that it is waiting for FileMaker to close on the C drive. When I closed the program on the desktop it looked like it closed, but it seems that something is still running on the C drive that won't close. We just ran ad-aware and took off a lot of spyware and we ran our virus scan which didn't reveal any viruses but the problem still exists. Any ideas what could cause this and how to fix it?

I am checking with some other user groups to see if anyone has experienced this problem.  I will let you know what I find out.
