Forum query - viewing other members etc

Is there a particular reason that other people's profiles can't be viewed? People don;t have to put a lot of info in there (Mine only shows my email address and location, which I have in my signature anyway...)

But being able to find other people's posts *is* useful at times, and I keep having to dream up convoluted searches to try and find stuff

Some of the other stuff may not be useful, but is kind of fun.

I only ask because I'm mod on a much busier (100K posts, 4.5K users) forum where this is freely available...

I was wondering about that yesterday when I clicked webko's image at the top of the page from the box of "Top Experts" and found I couldn't see the profiles. It seemed like if no one can see the profile, why have the images linked to them?

Thank you for making me aware of this.  As administrators we can see everyones profiles.  I did not realize that members could not see one another's profiles.  I have added this functionality, you may need to login again to clear your permissions.
