Re-install help

Hi All. I installed FMSA9 only to learn that it was not compatible with my iTools work-around. I'm trying to switch back to FMSA8 but I can't get the damned web publishing engine to work. http:/localhost/fmi/config returns a service temporarily unavailable page. The IWP homepage shows my databases but when I click on one I get a database unavailable error. The databases are accessible remotely through a FMP client. Any ideas?

Hi Jim,

Not sure if you ended up solving this issue - I just noticed the post. Basically it looks like the web publishing engine of server 8 is not configured to connect to any FieMaker Server (hence the IWP error that lists database correctly for the local server but cannot do much else). The fmi/config returning service unavailable is strange and I have no idea what it could be - but I am guessing that by this time you might have just reinstalled the whole thing a few times and it has worked.

   Thanks. I did get it re-installed. As usual it was a helter-skelter process of try this, try that, re-re-re-install the other thing. I appreciate you looking out for us like you do.
