The FMWebschool team has a number of Apple desktops inhouse in order for us to test our software and plugins on all platforms. As part of our regular scheduled maintenance procedures we decided to update all the Macs to use the latest versions of OSX Tiger and get the much anticipated Safari v3 beta installed.

The OSX Tiger update went very smoothly, just as you would expect from such a mature product, however when time came to upgrade Safari it was a whole different story…

Firefox has been known for the past few years to be the choice of browser for a large number of web developers. It is known for its superior standard compliance when rendering HTML and CSS code as well as convinient navigation of multiple pages using tabs (which were already part of Firefox/Mozilla 3 years before IE7 has integrated them). In the future we will be posting a number of Firefox techniques to make life easier for developing web applications with PHP and FileMaker - however, this article will focus on a number of useful and easy to use extensions.
